Best of Brooklyn: Flipsters

Once again, my love for burgers is serious. The other day Mama Suite announced that she was craving a burger, Flipsters was an easy choice. Flipsters is another Brooklyn favorite. I can always count on leaving with a full belly and a smile on my face. Plus you all know how much I love to customize a burger! Flipsters has an array of toppings, you can be as creative or classic as you’d like. Their sweet potato fries seriously rock my face off! They are the best, get them!  If you’re ever in Park Slope, stop in. You’ll be glad you did.

Best Fries Ever!

Black and White Milkshake for Mama Suite. Blue Moon for me.

Lamb burger with goat cheese, avocado, bacon and caramelized onions for her.

Turkey burger with a fried egg, avocado and caramelized onions for me. Go to Flipsters NOW! Feel free to thank me later.

Best of Brooklyn: 67 Burger

I have a confession. I’m completely and totally obsessed with burgers. On any given day, at any given time I will choose a good quality burger over pretty much anything else on the menu. I have made it my life’s mission to visit as many burger joints (yes, I said joints) as possible. Luckily for me I live in the greatest city in the world and will never run out of places to visit. But there is one spot not too far from my house that I make it a point to eat at at least once a month. If you live in New York City and you’re not a part of the handful of people who are still unwilling to travel to Brooklyn, stop into 67 Burger. You’ll thank me. I promise. The people are friendly, the prices aren’t bad at all, I love the french fries, but I especially always order a bottle of Boylan Vintage Soda Pop in orange (of course. . .Kenan and Kel anyone?)

Everything’s made to order in the open kitchen right in the middle. First up are the fries. Hot, salty, deliciousness. Yum. I always smother mine with ketchup and mustard. Don’t knock it ’til you try it.

That would be the boy in the background. Forget him, focus on the Boylan Vintage Soda Pop. Later I decided to shove the empty bottle in my purse. It’s currently on my night stand, stuffed with flowers being used as a vase. Double duty people!

Ranch Burger with crispy onions and goat cheese for him.

Turkey Burger with goat cheese, avocado, and chipotle mayo for moi. Epic.
